HVAC/Refrigeration Technician (Medxcel Facilities)

Facilities HVAC Technician installs, operates and maintains the organization's heating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
The facilities HVAC technician is responsible for identifying repair and/or replacement needs; installing, repairing, conducting preventative maintenance; upgrading HVAC systems and equipment; assisting other skilled trades; and ensuring that tools and materials are available at job site.
Requirements Education and Work Experienceo High School diploma or GED required.
Graduate of Trade School Preferred.
o Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred.
o Freon handling certificateo Valid driver's license and evidence of insurabilityo Minimum 3 years' experience with HVAC systemsResponsibilitiesMaintaining HVAC systems - 80%o Installs, inspects, maintains, repairs and performs preventative maintenance on all heating, air conditioning, ice making, refrigeration, and ventilation systems.
o Maintains and applies current knowledge of steam distribution, piping, valves, chilled and hot water reheat systems and Pressure Reducing Value (PRV) operation.
o Develops and implements departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
o Prepares the preventative maintenance schedule and produces monthly reports.
o May coordinate, maintain and repair all energy management systems.
o Maintains knowledge of and develops departmental equipment procedures for power outages.
o Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
o Diagnoses causes of problems and/or failures in heating/air conditioning systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
o Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with building and safety regulations.
o Inspects HVAC systems and their components (e.
g.
heating units, building exhaust fans, ventilation units, etc.
) for the purpose of evaluating condition, identifying necessary repairs and recommending preventive maintenance.
o Installs heating and air conditioning equipment and systems for the purpose of providing enhanced and/or upgraded capabilities.
o Maintains vehicle, tools and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability in safe operating condition.
o Responds to emergency situations during or after hours for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns.
Special Projects - 20%o Participates in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars, as assigned for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform job functions.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment.

indoor air monitoring equipment and interpret resulting data; standards for design and construction; air conditioning and heating codes; hazards and safety precautions; and refrigerant handling and disposal.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
