Position Purpose The Assistant General Manager (AGM) is responsible for managing the repair process of vehicles from the point of estimating the time and costs associated with the repair through the delivery of the completed vehicle to the customer. The incumbent directs and leads the production team to ensure that operational metrics and financial objectives are achieved. AGMs are responsible for overall management of the repair center in the General Manager's absence. Generally, this position will only exist at ABRA's higher-revenue repair centers. Key Contributions
Overall Direction of Production: Manages the repair process of all vehicles in the production area, from pre-op through completion of repairs. Formulates the daily production plan including the movement of vehicles between departments.
Coordination of Pre-Op & Sublet Processes: Ensures that an extensive pre-op process is completed on every vehicle to create a complete and accurate repair plan and eliminate supplements. Makes decisions regarding sublet repair processing as needed and coordinates the timing of sublet work to keep overall cycle time as low as possible.
Distribution of Work Assignments: Using knowledge of each staff member's skills, experience and capabilities, appropriately assigns vehicles to technicians. Meets with each technician daily to discuss work assignments and schedules.
Management of Technician Staff: Monitors work quality and provides day-to-day feedback and coaching to technician staff. Participates in technicians' performance reviews. Provides input for hiring needs. Keeps General Manager apprised of performance levels and issues involving technicians. May coordinate technician training. Presents proposals for material and equipment needs to General Manager/District Manager.
Quality Control: Responsible for ensuring that all repairs are completed right the first time, in adherence with ABRA's quality standards. Performs QC checks before vehicle is painted, after paint, and serves as a back-up for performing final QC checks before delivery to vehicle owner.
Oversight for Safety & Organized Workplace: Ensures that production employees are following ABRA safety requirements at all times. Holds self and others accountable for maintaining an organized workplace. Position Requirements Thorough knowledge of collision repair processes gained through a minimum of six years of hands-on industry experience. Ability & willingness to work in a structured, multi-unit environment and adhere to standard operating procedures and processes. Able to make independent decisions on repair processes, parts and timing. Computer literate. Strong analytical and coordination capabilities; capable of effectively prioritizing and multi-tasking. Highly-effective leadership skills, including above-average communication abilities. Required to keep current with industry-related and ABRA-required training.
Must maintain a valid state driver's license in order to drive any customer or company vehicle. Reporting Relationships / Contacts Reports to General Manager of repair center. Has daily contact with other employees, customers, and insurance partners.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
