Job Description:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Taylor's Bakery.
As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in providing exceptional service to our customers and helping to maintain the overall operations of the bakery.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers in a warm and welcoming manner, providing product recommendations and answering any questions they may have.
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all special requests and dietary needs are accommodated.
Handle cash and card transactions with precision and integrity, following established procedures for cash handling and reconciliation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales area, including restocking shelves, arranging displays, and ensuring all products are properly labeled.
Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock checks, and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders and maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods.
Uphold food safety and hygiene standards at all times, following proper procedures for handling and storing bakery products.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving customer service, product offerings, and operational efficiency to enhance the overall customer experience.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a retail or customer service role, preferably in a food-related industry.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and work effectively as part of a team.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash transactions.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is a plus.
Passion for baking and enthusiasm for sharing our bakery's products with customers.
Schedule (Tues - Sat):
This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support bakery operations.
