Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Take digital dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history - Perform basic laboratory procedures such as pouring models and trimming impressions - Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar - Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times - Assist with pediatric dental procedures
Qualifications:
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience - x-ray certified/licensed - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Proficiency in taking vital signs and performing medical imaging - Familiarity with dental office administrative tasks such as scheduling and managing medical records - Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional duties may be assigned as needed.
