VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center is transforming Patient Care and is seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to work alongside our Medical Director as the Director of Patient Care.
The Director of Patient Care, under the direction of the Medical Director and Hospital Manager, is responsible for establishing the medical quality and patient care practiced by all medical personnel at VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center.
The Director of Patient Care achieves this through strong leadership and serving as a mentor and role model for our associates.
As the Director of Patient Care, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Alongside the Medical Director:
Developing, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures wherever needed to better serve clients, patients, the hospital and associates.
Oversee client flow to insure that clients and patients are seen and treated in a professional, timely and competent manner.
Reviewing the status of patients to ensure that they are being cared for appropriately by staff members.
Managing nursing staff to ensure that they follow proper procedures for patient care.
Responsible for reviewing in-house medical errors and near misses.
Responsible for the educational development of technicians and their skills and would be responsible for the overall training in the hospital.
Provides direct supervision to the Training and Development Coordinator.
Mentoring Technicians and Assistants within the hospital.
Conducting regular meetings with staff members to discuss patient care issues and concerns.
Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner.
Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
Work with the medical director to address and resolve client complaints Ensure that the OSHA and Safety program, procedures and reports are being continuously monitored, and updated to keep the hospital is in safety compliance.
Assist Medical Director with administration and review of client medical complaints.
Cultivate an inclusive work environment and strong hospital culture Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital.
Develop relationships and be the liaison between the doctors and staff.
Reports directly to the Medical Director.
On occasion, working in the various departments to maintain skills, exemplify a positive role model, and assess/evaluate strengths and weaknesses of various departments.
Director of Patient Care (RVT)
Qualifications:
Licensed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, VTS 5
years of clinical experience 2
years of Team leadership experience Passion for Veterinary Medicine Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to multi-task and deal with high levels of stress in an environment of changing priorities in a 24-hour hospital environment.
Is able to take charge, initiate actions, hold people accountable, and delegate responsibilities in such a way as to achieve positive results.
Compensation:
Annual salary between $70,000-$75,000.
Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field.

Schedule:
Full-Time opportunity with flexible scheduling.
This position will be based on a 5 -day work week, although the schedule will be flexible to meet the needs of a 24-hour hospital.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
