Assistant Director of Advancement Operations

Assistant Director of Advancement Operations oversees gift and scholarship administration while supporting advancement operations.
This position plays a vital role in the Foundation's ability to achieve its fundraising and overall goals.
This position is based in Fishers, Indiana and is not remote.
Scholarship Program Serve as the primary contact between the Foundation and awarding entity, scholarship committee and interested undergraduates.
Maintain SmarterSelect platform for execution of annual program.
Coordinate with Marketing & Communications team to promote scholarship program awareness, increase applications, and steward fund donors.
Seek/train alumni volunteers as evaluators annually.
Gift Management Responsible for entering all mail and online gifts into database on a regular basis.
Prepares daily cash sheets and deposits via ACH, Direct Debit and Recurring Gifts.
Prepares all matching gift requests and submissions.
Prepares all donor acknowledgment letters and files all gift related correspondence, including gift premiums.
Fields questions as needed from donors and house corporation officers regarding gift and pledge payment history.
Prepares and distributes pledge payment reminders.
Advancement Assists in the execution of annual giving campaign, including aspects of the direct mail campaign, e-solicitation, and personal solicitation as required to secure unrestricted operating support from board members, foundations, alumni, staff, parents, and friends.
In consultation with the Chief Experience Officer, oversee direct mail for alumni, parents, and all constituencies, while collaborating with the marketing and communications department.
Ensure operations are well integrated within the department and with other areas such as finance and administration.
Work closely with finance team to ensure accuracy and streamline processes.
Collaborate with Fraternity alumni team on new strategies to increase fundraising from alumni, find lost alumni, and identify prospects.
Provide monthly reports to track activity, monitor outcomes, project revenue, and identify opportunities.
Analyze data and recommend segmenting strategies for annual fund, major gifts prospecting and planned giving.
Required Qualifications (Education, experience, knowledge, skills, overtime, licenses, etc.
):
Bachelor's degree required Must have 4-6 years proven fundraising experience, including budget oversight, supervising staff, and meeting/exceeding goals.
Strong operations knowledge, including donor database management (Raisers Edge and Salesforce preferred), gift processing, reporting and projections.
Experience with alumni, parent giving, and volunteer committees preferred.
Experience with capital campaigns, individual solicitations, and closing multi-year pledges and major gifts in excess of $25,000 preferred.
Outstanding organizational, administrative, and computer skills.
Self-starter, team player with can-do attitude.
Detail-oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills.
Ability to embrace a collaborative work style and interact in a positive and proactive manner with all school constituencies.
Strong interpersonal, relationship-building, and written and oral communication skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
